Our Programs

Excelsior has adopted the Creative Curriculum as a foundational tool to help foster the development of knowledge, skills and abilities among our infants, toddlers and preschoolers. This project-based early childhood curriculum is designed to foster the development of the whole child through teacher-led small and large group activities. Our teachers jointly plan activities based on weekly themes and children’s interests. Additionally, our programs follow the educational standards of Florida’s Department of Children and Family which encourages a variety of methods and activities to accommodate and benefit the diverse learners in the classroom.

The Creative Curriculum has a long, rich history, and has always offered teachers valuable insight into the most current research and best practices for early childhood education. With all of these academic resources, you can rest assured that our teachers have the tools they need to help our children be successful, right from the very first days of school.

Excelsior International Academy offers five interactive childcare programs to residents and employees of Pompano Beach, Florida:

Full-time Childcare

On a full-time basis, children enrolled in our educational programs will learn pertinent skills and abilities in the Physical Health and Motor Development, Cognitive Development and General Knowledge, Language and Communication, Social and Emotional, and Approaches to Learning developmental domains.

Building on the traditional curriculum that reinforces manipulatives, active physical play, language and cognitive development, and visual and audio stimulation, Excelsior’s educational programs will also employ innovative interactive media that support and promote deep learning. This interactive media can include digital portfolios that include photographs as well as audio and video recordings of the children’s work, and the use of digital books and touch screen devices. All-in-all, the goal is to stimulate the children’s abilities through active learning and active, physical play.
