Excelsior’s Private Kindergarten program offers five full days of in-person learning designed to help children develop pertinent knowledge, skills and abilities to excel in first grade and beyond. Our small class sizes and low teacher-to-student ratio foster individualized learning that promote literacy.
Classroom teachers are required to have earned at minimum a professional educator’s certificate from the Florida Department of Education, although most possess degrees in elementary education. Building on the Abeka® curriculum, the private kindergarten program also features literacy development in the following areas:
- Independent Reading
- Science and Technology
- Numbers, Operations, Measuring, and Geometry
- Physical Education
- Fine Arts
